These days as never before the fight against cancer has been aggressive and there are new drugs coming out all of the time. When it comes to cancer treatment the use of drugs is a necessity. Thankfully there is a new cancer treatment out that should prove to be a big value.

One of the of the cancer drugs that is showing a lot of promise is the drug Femara. This drug has proven effective in the treatment on early stage cancer in women that are postmenopausal. Women that have had breast cancer in the past have about a one in three chance in the cancer returning.

By using this drug a woman reduces her chances of developing cancer again to around 13 percent. By using this drug a woman reduces her chances of this cancer to spreading to other parts of her body by up to 15 percent. Femara works by reducing estrogen in the body in postmenopausal women. Since some cancers use estrogen as food to grow the tumor doesn’t get a chance to get estrogen and therefore it can’t spread. This is just one of the cancer treatment drugs out there these days that a person needs to speak about with their doctor.
